Before anything else, I was just a little girl from Pearland, Texas, who loved playing softball.

I didn’t know where the game would take me.
I didn’t know about rankings, recruiting, awards, or any of the things that can sometimes come with sports.
I just knew I loved being on the field.
I loved the dirt under my cleats, the ball in my glove, the sound of the game, and the feeling of running freely.

Over time, it became something that helped shape me.

The game has taught me a lot about life. It has shown me that talent is a blessing, but it is not enough by itself.

"I have learned that who you are as a person matters just as much as what you can do as an athlete."
I have learned that who you are as a person matters just as much as what you can do as an athlete.

There are four values I try to carry with me every day:
Discipline. Integrity. Consistency. High Standards.

I do not always get everything right, but those values help guide me.

Discipline reminds me to keep showing up, even on the days when I am tired or things do not feel easy.

Integrity reminds me to do things the right way. To respect the game. To respect my teammates, coaches, family, and myself.

Consistency reminds me that every day matters. It is not about being perfect. It is about trying to be dependable, steady, and willing to give my best effort, no matter what the circumstances are.

High standards remind me not to settle for less than what I know I am capable of giving. Not because I think I am better than anyone else, but because I believe the opportunities I have been given deserve my best.

The day time stopped.

One of the hardest seasons of my life came when I suffered a serious injury on the field.

A fractured bone in my neck. Broken jaw. A broken and dislocated thumb. Surgeries. Recovery. Waiting.

i honestly don't remember much about that day.
I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR THE AMAZING TRAINING STAFF AND DOCTORS THAT HELPED PUT ME BACK TOGETHER.
AS BAD AS MY INJURIES WERE, I was told that my concern was more about my teammate that I collided with and wanting my team to continue to focus on the goal AND NOT ABOUT ME.
I KNEW THAT GOD WOULD HEAL ME.
SINCE WE HOSTED the b1g tournament I WAS ABLE TO BE THERE IN PERSON AND CHEER ON MY TEAM. IT was nothing short of a cinderella story. I knew that my teammates played for me. I COULD FEEL THE LOVE. I WAS SO proud OF MY TEAM.
RECOVERY WAS DREADFUL. slowing down was hard. It was humbling. I had to learn patience. I had to accept that healing could not be rushed.
There were days when I was frustrated. Days when I felt unsure. Days when I missed being able to play without thinking about what my body had been through.
But that experience taught me something I will never forget.
It is easy to talk about values when everything is going well.
You find out what they really mean when life gets hard.
the promise I made to myself, not to be perfect, but to keep giving my best with whatever I had that day.
I had to rebuild slowly. I had to learn to trust my body again. I had to remind myself that I was more than an injury, more than a sport, more than a statistic, and more than what people saw on the outside.
My journey is still being written, and I know I would not be where I am without God, my family, my coaches, my teammates, and everyone who has supported me along the way.
I am grateful for every opportunity.
I am grateful for every lesson.
I am grateful for every setback that taught me something.
I am grateful for every chance to step back on the field.
Because through it all, I have learned that setbacks do not have to define you.
They shape you.
